DAY 1: NAIROBI - MASAI MARA

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a scenic drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. As you travel through the stunning Great Rift Valley, you'll make a stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of one of the world’s most remarkable geological features. The drive continues through dramatic landscapes towards the Maasai Mara, where you’ll arrive for a delicious hot lunch. Afterward, you’ll embark on your first afternoon game drive in the reserve. The Maasai Mara, famous for its rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery, offers a chance to spot some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. The reserve, at an altitude of 1,650 meters (5,414 feet), forms the northern extension of the Serengeti, extending over 1,510 square kilometers (almost 600 square miles).

DAY 2 : MASAI MARA FULL DAY

 After breakfast, prepare for an exciting full day of exploration in the Maasai Mara. The day will be spent on an extensive game drive, allowing you to witness the incredible variety of wildlife the reserve has to offer. Keep an eye out for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino—as well as other species such as hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, and hyenas. The Great Migration is a sight to behold, especially between July and October, when millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara River in search of fresh grazing grounds. Along with your experienced guide, you’ll explore the diverse habitats within the reserve, from the open savannahs to the riverine forests, learning about the unique ecosystems and the animals that call them home.

 DAY 3 MASAI MARA - MAASAI VILLAGE VISIT - RETURN TO NAIROBI

Start the final day of your safari with an early breakfast before heading to a Maasai village for an immersive cultural experience. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the Maasai people, adorned in their traditional red shúkàs and vibrant beadwork jewelry. The visit provides a unique opportunity to learn about the Maasai way of life, their customs, and cattle-herding traditions. One of the highlights is the famous Maasai jumping dance (adumu), where warriors leap high into the air, and you might even be invited to join in! Explore the traditional manyattas (huts) and gain insight into how the Maasai live in harmony with the land and wildlife. After this enriching visit, you’ll return to Nairobi, where your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport, filled with memories of an incredible wildlife and cultural journey.
